The UCSB Library is seeking proposals for our annual Open Access (OA) Week activities, which will take place October 22-26, 2018. Open Access Week is a global, community-driven week of action to open up access to research. The Library is using OA Week as an opportunity to raise awareness and seek feedback about the UC Libraries report Pathways to Open Access, which focuses on strategies for the large-scale transition to open access. Our Pathways to OA focus complements the official OA Week theme, Designing Equitable Foundations for Open Knowledge. A wide array of proposal types, traditional and creative, are welcome from all members of the UCSB community.
The UCSB Library is committed to partnering with faculty to address the challenges and seize the opportunities presented by the transformative changes currently underway in scholarly communication
