The Collection Strategies Department oversees the development and management of library collections. Collection strategists and subject librarians work within discipline-based collection groups to strategically plan and implement policies and programs.
UCSB Library collections are interdisciplinary and support the UCSB academic programs. In addition to more than three million print volumes, the collections include manuscripts, sound recordings, cartography, and digital resources. The Library collaborates with other UC libraries to acquire and provide access to the broadest range of resources.
