In an effort to mitigate the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Chancellor Yang announced that effective March 11, UC Santa Barbara has transitioned to remote instruction for the remainder of the Winter Quarter and the entire Spring Quarter (ending June 12).
UCSB Library is responding in the following ways:
Closing the Library
Effective March 20, The Library is closed in accordance with the Governor's statewide shelter-in-place order.
Providing Remote Resources & Services
There are many ways the Library can provide you with expert help and services if you are studying or working remotely. See the list of resources and services.
Extending Due Dates of Library Materials
Book return drops closed on Monday, March 23. Patrons should hold on to Library materials in the meantime. We are working on extending all due dates to June 15. There will be no overdue fines during this time.
