Introduction to Academic Publishing

The UCSB Library is offering a workshop for graduate students on publishing. This workshop is designed to teach students about the different venues available for publishing articles, manuscripts, and data. Additionally, the workshop will highlight critical resources available for your success. 

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

• Identify where to go to find key publications in your field
• Understand the publishing cycle
• Set publishing goals
• Distinguish the types of publishing models
• Understand the publishing support resources available to graduate students
• Navigate publisher contracts
• Locate publishing resources available to you through the UCSB Library

This workshop is open to all graduate students. Snacks will be provided.
