A small selection of current print serials (journals, magainzes) and newspapers are located in a "Current Serials" browsing area on the 1st floor, Ocean Side in the UCSB Library. Most serial volumes are located in the general stacks, where they are interfiled by call number with other collections, and others are housed in special locations such as the Art & Architecture Collection and the East Asian Collection. Many of our journals are online only. Please check the Library Catalog for complete holdings, call numbers, and location information.

Current journals and magazines are shelved in call number order. Use the "journal titles" search option in the catalog to find call numbers for specific titles.

Select news sources are subscribed to in order to provide current reading access. These titles are available for current use and are not retained as the copy of record or preservation copy for the Library. Sometimes these news sources are duplicated with digital subscriptions where preservation and ownership are acquired and deemed necessary.
