The Interlibrary Loan service allows UCSB students, faculty, and staff to borrow from other libraries if items are not available at the UCSB Library. Community patrons and UC alumni are not eligible for UCSB ILL services.

Holidays aside, in person service with ILL staff is available at the UCSB Library Services Desk Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m.
The UCSB Library subscribes to the National Interlibrary Loan Code of the American Library Association as well as to regional agreements, and adheres strictly to copyright law.
